STRENGTHENING YOUR FIRM THROUGH FINANCIAL EDUCATION
Financial wellbeing is no longer a “nice to have” in law firms. It is a core component of risk management, performance and professional integrity. When people are under financial strain, it affects concentration, judgement and decision-making, and this can increase the likelihood of compromised conduct or misjudgements. By providing clear, practical financial guidance, we help your lawyers stay focused, make sound decisions and uphold the standards your firm depends on. In a profession built on trust and precision, investing in financial education is not optional. It is a strategic safeguard.
Apprentices
Trainees
Trainees juggle demanding workloads with real financial pressures, often without personal networks that understand the legal sector. We provide bespoke guidance that helps them manage cash flow, tax and benefits with confidence, supporting consistent performance, reducing avoidable risk and improving social mobility within the firm.
Newly Qualified
NQs step into higher salaries and higher expectations overnight, yet many feel unprepared to manage the financial realities behind them. We help them make informed decisions based on their actual circumstances, supporting resilience, strong performance and long-term retention, particularly for first-generation professionals.
Partner Track
Those progressing toward partnership face increased financial complexity and responsibility, often without clear guidance. Our bespoke support helps them prepare confidently and sustainably, strengthening decision-making, supporting succession planning and widening access to leadership for diverse talent.
Partners
Partners carry significant financial and professional accountability, and uncertainty around personal finances can affect judgement and wellbeing. We provide tailored, strategic guidance that reduces personal and operational risk, supports stable leadership and ensures partners feel equipped to lead a diverse, high-performing firm
As school leavers, many apprentices feel unsure about money and the expectations of a professional environment. This can affect confidence, focus and progression, especially for those from lower-income or first-generation backgrounds. Our tailored support gives them the practical tools they genuinely need, strengthening performance and helping firms retain diverse early talent.
We support a wide range of firms, from small practices to large global organisations and offer tailored financial solutions for a variety of employee groups. For the purposes of discretion and client confidentiality, we do not publicly share the names of the firms we work with, but our experience spans multiple sectors and workforce profiles.
OUR
STORY
Mrs Penny was created from a simple truth we see across the legal sector: a high salary does not guarantee financial confidence or security. Many lawyers step into demanding roles, rapid pay rises and complex tax bands without ever being taught how to manage money well. Behind the professionalism, people are often quietly overwhelmed, and that affects wellbeing, performance and professional judgement.
We built Mrs Penny to change this. Everything we deliver is bespoke, practical and grounded in real conversations, shaped entirely around what people actually need.
For firms, we tailor our support to each cohort and use data to identify pressure points, knowledge gaps and risk areas across the workforce. This gives leaders a clear picture of where targeted support will strengthen performance, retention and long-term capability.
And when someone needs regulated advice, we offer a seamless pathway through our sister regulated company, ensuring individuals receive the right level of guidance and support from highly qualified professionals.
Mrs Penny exists to strengthen people and strengthen firms. When lawyers at every stage feel in control of their finances, they make better decisions, uphold the highest standards and contribute to a more resilient and healthy organisation.
